The short version
- Just want tips? A payment QR code from a Venmo or PayPal business profile costs less than we do. Use one.
- Want requests and tips, solo or DJing, no charts? mySet, CrowdFuel, NoSongRequests and Tiplor all do that. mySet charges your fans instead of you, NoSongRequests charges a flat $10 a month instead of a cut, and Tiplor takes 15% with card fees included.
- Want your band's charts, setlist and a request line in one app? Look at Loadout, and at us. Loadout takes 2% of card tips and works from ChordPro text charts. We take 10% and work from the PDF charts you already have.

"Not on their site" means we looked and didn't find it. It might exist. We'd rather say that than guess.
One at a time
Loadout
Loadout is the closest thing to us we've found, and it's worth a look. Your crowd requests from songs you open up and tips by card or Apple Pay. Your band's charts stay in sync on every device, and it adds booking, setlists and gig money tracking. It's free and takes 2% of card tips, and by default your fan covers the fees. Loadout says it's in beta.
The differences: Loadout's charts are ChordPro text, imported from OnSong, BandHelper or YouTube. We show the PDF charts you already play from, looking the way they always have. In Loadout, an accepted request goes into your live setlist. Here, it becomes your next page.
Pick Loadout if your charts already live in OnSong or BandHelper, or you want booking and money tracking in the same app. Pick us if your charts are PDFs and you'd like to keep reading them that way.
mySet
mySet is a request and tip app for live musicians and DJs, and it costs the artist nothing. Your fans pay a $1.50 fee plus card processing on each request or tip, so a $5 tip costs them at least $6.50. You can switch that so you pay it instead. It runs on iPhone, and your crowd uses a web page with no app. It also has monthly supporters, a leaderboard you can put on a TV, and a button for booking requests. Charts and bandmate screens aren't on their site.
Pick mySet if you play solo or DJ, and you'd rather the fee land on your fans than on you.
CrowdFuel
CrowdFuel was built by the guitarist in a cover band, for bands. Your crowd scans a QR code, picks from your list, and tips by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Requests line up by tip amount, and the smallest minimum tip you can set is $5. It runs on iPhone and iPad, with Android "coming soon." We couldn't find its fees anywhere on its site or app listing. Charts and synced screens aren't described.
Pick CrowdFuel if your band runs on iPhones and iPads and you just want a paid request queue.
NoSongRequests
NoSongRequests was built by DJs and does a lot: lyrics, key and BPM for each request, playlist exports, and modes for weddings, karaoke and line dancing. Bands can limit requests to their setlist. The free plan takes up to 100 requests a month with no tips. Tips need Pro, at $10 a month. Chord charts and bandmate sync aren't on their site.
Pick NoSongRequests if you DJ, or if you take in more than about $100 a month in tips, where a flat $10 beats our 10%.
Tiplor
Tiplor is a digital tip jar from Toronto that runs in any browser, and in September 2026 it added song requests. Your crowd tips by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay with no app, picks requests from songs you make available, and a paid request is only charged if you play it. It takes a flat 15% with Stripe's card fees included, so on a $5 tip you keep $4.25. On tips under about $14 that's less than we take. Above that, we take less. It also has a gig calendar, fundraisers and fan follows. Charts and bandmate screens aren't on their site.
Pick Tiplor if you want a tip jar with requests, and most of your tips are small.
A tip jar or a payment QR code
The cash jar still works, and it's free. A Venmo or PayPal QR code taped to the mic stand is the next step up. Two things worth knowing:
- Personal accounts are free, but their terms say they're not for business payments, and getting paid to play counts. Venmo warns that if a payment like that gets reversed, you can lose the money.
- Business profiles are allowed, and cheap: 1.9% + 10¢ on Venmo, 2.29% + 9¢ for PayPal's QR code. Your crowd usually needs that same app to pay.
There are no requests, no queue and no charts. That's the point. Pick this if all you want is tips. It costs less than we do, and we mean that.
Why we cost more
We're not the cheapest, and we're not pretending to be. The 10% pays for the part that isn't a tip jar: your own PDF charts on your tablet, a request that becomes your next page, and every bandmate's screen landing on the same song. If that isn't worth 10% to you, we'd honestly rather you saved the money.
Questions
Is Bribe The Band the only app that does requests, tips and charts together?
No. Loadout combines requests, tips and synced band charts too. What's different here is that we work from your PDF charts, and an accepted request becomes your next page.
Does my crowd need to download anything?
No. They scan your QR code and request from their phone's browser. No app, no login.
Is there a monthly fee?
No. We take 10% of each tip, and Stripe takes its card fee. Your bandmates' accounts are free. Full breakdown on Pricing →
